WISCONSIN — High ticket prices for Wisconsin lottery tickets are making the state the top state for lottery tickets for the fourth straight year, according to data released Wednesday by the state lottery commission.
The commission found Wisconsin ranks No. 3 for high-priced tickets among all 50 states, behind only California and New York.
The state also ranks No, 11 among the 50 states for lottery prices per capita.
The commission said Wisconsin’s average ticket price for tickets sold in January 2017 was $1,079.52, and the state average price per ticket sold was $3,723.70.
Wisconsin ranked No. 4 among states with average ticket prices per 100 people, but No. 6 among states overall.
