Karnataka has its first-ever lottery, and one of the most prestigious events in the state.
The state is expected to host the first-of-its-kind lottery in the country on June 16.
Here’s how it works.
The winner will get $100,000 in cash, and $1 million in prize money.
The runner-up will get the same amount.
The winner of the lottery is allowed to compete for a total prize of $1.8 million, which would be the largest ever given in Karnataka.
The event, which is the biggest lottery in India, is called the Karnataka Lottery, and will be held on June 15 at the Sivaji Stadium in Chennai.
There will be two stages.
The first stage is a four-team single-elimination, which will be played at the Chennai Cricket Stadium, followed by a four game playoff with prizes of $10 million each.
The second stage is the four-player single elimination bracket, which pits teams of three against each other.
The two winners of the first stage, the runner-ups will play the first game of the second phase on June 17.
